National Parks: Discounted Passes for Those 62 and Up
America’s National Park Service, established by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916, has grown to include more than 400 areas across the country and more than 80 million acres in total. Entrance fees will vary by park, but yearly passes are available that offer access to more than 2,000 recreation sites.
Annual passes usually cost $80, but military folks and 4th graders get a free annual pass. And senior citizens get a discount: those 62 and up can get an annual pass for just $20, or even a lifetime pass for $80. It’s a great excuse to get out and enjoy the great outdoors!
