Her Own Mother Did Not Want to File a Missing Person’s Report
You read that right. For 18 days, Relisha had been missing. Her own mother actually refused to tell the police and did not raise any alarms through her school or other entities. For some strange reason, she was not the one to file the report about her daughter, who had since disappeared.

It is unclear why Shamika did not want to report her own daughter missing. This has led to a ton of speculation about the role she may have played in her child’s disappearance. It is widely believed that she had some type of inappropriate relationship with Tatum, as even to this day, she still denies that the janitor had anything to do with her disappearance… even though she constantly gave the approval to let her daughter spend time with him.
