Finally, An Answer

Then finally, in 2008, Sally’s doctors diagnosed her with Lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to become overly active and attack healthy tissues in the body. The disease is very difficult to diagnose because it shares the same symptoms as other diseases, which explains why it took doctors over eight months to figure out what was wrong with Sally.

But unfortunately for Sally and her family, there is no cure for Lupus. This meant that even though doctors knew what was wrong with her, they couldn’t prevent her from violent seizures that could sometimes last for hours. Sadly, she spent the next few months in and out of the hospital, with no end to her suffering in sight.
