The biopolymer is 100% compostable and capable of breaking down into CO2, water, and organic waste after being disposed of by municipal compost collection. When in soil, salt, or freshwater, the bottles will safely break down, meaning they won’t hang around for thousands of years like traditional plastic materials. These water bottles will have a six-month shelf life and can be reused until the expiry date.
