When you buy a can of Coke-a-Cola, you might not be thinking about what happens after you’re done drinking and (hopefully) throw it into a recycling bin. Well, a lot of energy is used when it comes to recycling aluminum cans. The world consumes a mind-blowing 4 billion cans of soft drinks made of recycled aluminum every week! The largest recycler of aluminum cans compiles the cans into large bails, weighing 1,000kg and each one containing around 65,000 cans. That’s a lot of cans!
