Woman Finds Love With the Help of Her Service Dog

A Change of Plans

Sally didn’t get sick until her last year of high school. At the time, the then 17-year-old was busy preparing to get accepted into medical school to specialize in obstetrics. She studied every day, got excellent grades, and made sure to make time in her busy schedule to get work experience in the healthcare field. But then, one day, Sally started having seizures.

She eventually became so sick that she lost all movement in her body except for her right arm. Her parents rushed her to the hospital, where she stayed for over eight months and was fed through a feeding tube. Doctors were stumped. They had no idea what was wrong with her, and Sally began to lose hope that she would ever feel better.
